SUMMARY:[College Readiness Workshop] Tell Your STEM Story: Using Storytelling to Build Your Future
DESCRIPTION:How do you tell the story of who you are\, what interests you\, and where you want to go? \nIn this interactive workshop\, Dr. Michelle Marincel Payne\, Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology\, will help students explore how their experiences\, interests\, and goals can become part of their personal STEM story. \nInspired by Rose-Hulman’s Story@Rose project\, students will reflect on their past\, present\, and future\, create their own stories\, exchange feedback with peers\, and practice communicating who they are as emerging scientists\, engineers\, mathematicians\, and STEM professionals. \nStudents will leave with practical experience telling their story—an important skill for college applications\, scholarships\, interviews\, networking\, research opportunities\, and future careers. \nNote: This workshop is hybrid\, with both virtual and in-person registration available!
