This research focuses on obesity, and the physiological effects of incretin-based therapies. this method investigates individual variability in Treatment Responses Heterogeneity (TRH), particularly in relation to GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonists. This work aims to enhance personalized therapeutic strategies for overweight and obese individuals. We aim to test TRH in the acute metabolic effects of GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonists among persons overweight or obese, and in doing so illustrate a valid, yet rarely used statistical approach that seems poorly understood or underutilized. This statistical methodology enables both testing for TRH variance and demonstrating how this design and analysis can yield valid estimates thereof.
