The Indiana Academy of Science (IAS) Science Talent Search (STS) is a statewide research competition open to all Indiana high school students. Students submit original scientific research projects and compete for scholarships and statewide recognition.
First-place winners receive $1,500 scholarships and are selected to represent Indiana at the American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS) annual conference. Travel expenses for selected delegates are covered by IAS.

IAS welcomes volunteer judges from academia, industry, and education. Judge sign-up information for the 2026 competition will be posted once dates are finalized.
