IAS Presents Science with a Twist on September 13, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Guggman Haus Brewing Company (1701 Gent Ave., Indianapolis).
This Science with a Twist event will feature a presentation titled Restoring transformed landscapes: More than meets the eye featuring Dr. Zach Sylvain.
Dr. Zach Sylvain is an Assistant Professor of Biology and Science Director of the Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab at Marian University. He has 20 years of experience as a soil ecologist studying the impacts of environmental changes (especially land-use change, plant invasions, and ecological restoration) on terrestrial ecosystems and how these changes impact communities of soil organisms and their roles in functioning ecosystems. His research has spanned a range of ecosystems across North America, as well as the Dry Valleys of Antarctica.
